It was announced with January 2011 that NBC had ordered a set entitled Grimm. David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf co-wrote the pilot, which was directed by simply Marc Buckland. On September 30, 2011, NBC decided to hold up the debut of Grimm by moving the premiere day from October 21 to help October 28, 2011, so it could premiere closer to Halloween. On November 21, 2011, NBC picked up the series for the full 22-episode season. NBC showed an unique Thursday showing on 12 8 at 10pm to discover if the network’s all round ratings could improve.
