Performance Management – Realities & Legalities
Event on 2013-03-12 08:00:00
Free Seminar Aimed at HR and Senior Management Professionals.
We have teamed up with award winning employment law specialists, Gordons LLP, to bring you a free to attend seminar in Leeds. Making use of a recent real-life case study, the session will be examining the most effective techniques being used to get the most from your people, and the practical navigation of the legal minefield surrounding the management of poor performers.
Using a very powerful real-life case study, we will show you how a culture of high performance is instilled within an organisation, from the top down.
You will learn how senior leaders can inspire established management teams to embrace change, and discover the support mechanisms put in place to facilitate this. From the case study we will also discuss what happens when some individuals cannot make the necessary changes and how to handle those situations professionally.
We will help you uncover the key performance metrics important to your organisation, and demonstrate how to provide clarity on what’s expected from staff. You will learn about the processes put in place to manage performance, and the practical processes that can be used to support under performers.
The team of employment law experts will outline the latest developments in working practices and how these should be approached, as well as offering practical ‘best practice’ advice relating to the detailed case study being used. In addition, the legal team will advise on how to handle those ‘difficult conversations’ with staff who continue to underperform and examine the procedures that must be followed to make these conversations effective, whilst at the same time navigating the minefield of legal implications that surround staff performance management.
The event is free to attend and breakfast and refreshments will be provided. You will also have the opportunity to network and share best practice with some of the most senior HR and Leadership professionals in the UK.
