You are making no particular argument, offering no solution to government over-reach, offering no solution to violation of rights and misconduct by Census Workers. You are not contributing anything to a solution or better understanding of this problem. In fact, you are degrading and diverting this conversation. You have not made any argument except “be nice to the guy who is violating the Constitution and badgering you on your own property”. Sometimes you do have to stand up and defend your rights. Sometimes a government employee might need to be reminded of the limits. The cost is far higher when we fail to see the responsibility.
So you go from basic information about cars, how many people live there, how do you earn a living, whats your households income to the complete opposite spectrum that has to do with identity theft. What you are doing is called a strawman logical fallacy, when you do this you are basically conceding any hopes you may have of winning this argument with me as I have stated my side and you attack it by misrepresenting or exaggerating my claim. So you have someone in South Korea who is a United States citizen who is just living abroad for a year due to the job market in Michigan, nice job trying to put a label on something you don’t know. I’ve read our constitution and I agree it doesn’t say you have to. No where did I say that I like South Korea’s government more than my home countries. I served for 6 years and was a teacher 7 years until my school closed in Detroit. Like I said, either help the guy out or just say you’re busy.
You missed that point. I asked you because you had disclosed some information and excluded your address while saying “I have nothing to hide”. By the way, you left out your passwords, logins, credit card numbers etc. When you presume to tell people what they should and should not disclose you are out of your jurisdiction. Your information is your business. Theirs is theirs.
So we’ve got someone in South Korea telling us how to manage our government in the USA. Our Constitution says they may not ask us those “census” questions. Our Constitution will not enforce itself. It is our duty and obligation to do that or we have no Constitutional protections at all. South Korea’s history has some very sharp examples of what happens when people fail to assert their rights.
On top of me giving you my address which I already did, why does it matter if they ask it, they’re already at your house. If they can’t figure out your address from that….jeesh. Do you have any more silly questions to ask?
The census worker is just some guy getting paid 10 bucks an hour like anyone else. If you don’t want to help him, just do not answer your door.

Some of the questions that they me asking me. Note I am using my name. I am a 30 year old married white male with 1 biracial son.I have migraines if that is a disability. I make about 35,000 a year and I make it from a Korean company. My housing is paid by my employer for my family. I don’t own a car. I had food stamps 3 years ago for 2 months. I pay 200 a month in utilities. If this information embarrasses you, you have issues. Don’t be a dick, help the census guy out so he can go home
Tell him that if he does not show his constitutional authority to enter your property and demand your private information on a non-census year that you will call 911 and report him as a trespasser.
Hint: There is no such authority.
Take pictures of him and his license plate. Write down the times he comes, what he does, how many times you tell him to leave etc. That stuff looks good on the trespass complaint.
I’m being harassed to do American community survey. I had been avoiding the census guy for two weeks till today he came to my location over 5 times with in a four hour span i got fed up when he rang my door bell like a child repeatedly fast . I got up open the door and said what’s your problem. He said im here to do a mandatory American community survey i said i don’t have time right now he said I’ll come back everyday till your ready . It’s. Harassment what can i do
Given the current climate it appears to be prudent if legally possible to decline census or give as little information as possible. It is interesting that it seems around the same time the American Government apparently decided to assertively collect information, and widen their scope on the information they collect, the Canadian government scrapped their long form census, a move seemingly coming out of the blue. P.S. expect any info. the government collects to be hacked or compromised.

It’s a good idea to mention that they must answer that question before they may demand your information. Keep the original. Send a photocopy by certified mail. Keep the original and the certified mail receipt and card in a safe place. If they “answer”, send them a response that their “answer” did not satisfy your question. Do it all in writing, not face-to-face or on the phone.
Simply ask them for the Constitutional authority to do the census on a yearly basis and their Constitutional authority to demand your private information. They do not have that and they know it. Without that authority they cannot lawfully threaten you with any action or “law”.
Do you think sending a letter to them asking for the ACS constitutional authority would be sufficient? PS thank you for all your posts, I just had the gas co. out to change my meter a few mos. ago and did not realize until seeing your videos. the new one emits EMR. I just figured they wanted to extract more money from me. Now I have to deal with them as well. Seems oppressors never rest.
I got the ACS in the mail twice about two months ago , along with several letters stating I am required by law to fill them out.. I started getting visits at my door this week. I will tell them nothing! I told them how many people lived here in ’10 and now they want to know again? There are dozens of invasive questions that they have NO RIGHT TO KNOW! What they are doing is blatantly illegal, and I completely refuse.
Before they can penalize you, or require you to comply with anything they must show Consttutional authority for what they are demanding. They do not have it.
