Travel extras website Cheap.co.uk has advised a new travel insurance system is in the later stages of development. The new travel insurance quote engine will be built into their website http://www.cheap.co.uk and offer a comparison style service similar to that offered on both their airport car parking and car hire platforms.
A spokesmen commented: we teamed up with DalesRidge who developed the new travel insurance engine. Its a fairly modern system and branded in the typical Cheap style to keep in line with the brand and flow of our website.
They continued: the travel insurance market is huge and whilst we do already have an offering available to our site visitors, this new system will offer a lot, lot more, in terms of choice, pricing but also branding.
The new system will offer single trip policies in both short and long term choices, annual multi-trip policies, winter sports policies and cover available for both golf and cruise holiday makers. Added to this the online screening, the system seems able to offer a vast choice when it comes to obtaining an online travel insurance quote.
Cheap.co.uk, run by Perry Wilson, the former director of travel insurance giant InsureandGo, plans on using the system across a number of websites including http://www.skiinsurance.co.uk, perfect for the ski insurance market, and backpackersinsurance.co.uk although the initial system will be set up on Cheap.co.uk first.
Cheap.co.uk offers a comparison service on a number of travel extras including airport parking, car hire, airport lounges, airport hotels, ferries and travel insurance.
