Another problem with arbitration / arbitration clauses is it often forces you into a specific venue. Like say you live in New York and the company is in L.A. The arbitration clause might force you to go through the arbitration route specifically in an California venue forcing you to go all the way out west for arbitration.
This guy is wrong about one thing. They often try to force you into arbitration through an arbitration clause in the contract preventing you from going to small claims court.
Look at any kind of contract you are agreeing to and don’t accept it if there is an arbitration agreement.
You might be asking whats so bad about arbitration. The primary issue is the conflict of interest because the people doing the arbitration are typically hired by the company you are trying to sue.
