Hello, I’m a senior at Berkeley and I’ve been admitted to Harvard, Stanford, Columbia and many others recently. My question to you is, should I take a full ride to Michigan/Penn/Virginia or take on debt and attend S or H? I’m truly learning towards S since they say biglaw is a lock, please let me know. S is offering 40k a year so I’m looking at about 90k in debt when all said and done.
Have you watched the “Suits” TV show? – If not watch it, and then tell me what kind of education Harvey may have and what his work is.. If he is a prosecutor or not etc etc If you would do this I’d be really greatful!
Well, I have yet to meet a Mattlock type of attorney. I had someone tell me that I should be like the guy on Breaking Bad. Since I have not seen the show, I could not tell you whether or not that would be a good idea. Sometimes there are fun days and excitement. But, most of the time it is just paperwork. If you want an exciting job, become a prosecutor on the US and Mexico border.
in this day in age, yes. most paralegals don’t typically start off at $40,000 though, they earn that much after at least a couple of years of experience… but i suppose it depends on where you live.
Yeah… Like you can’t win a case. People don’t want to hear that. So a lawyer will take the money, go through the motions of the legal system, and then in the end tell the client we lost after milking him for $20,000.
