44th precinct NYPD stop a random latino on the street and gives court summons for no reason

This was on the corner of McClellan Street and Sheridan Ave in the Bronx on the evening of Friday April 6. NYPD is now walking up to random people on the sidewalks and saying you can’t be there because you block pedestrian traffic. BS. Lawyers will be available to help. On Wednesday, May 9 from 1 pm to 3 pm there will be a free legal clinic where you will be inform ed of your rights and more importantly lawyers will listen to you and what has happened to you in order to give you legal advice on defending yourself and / or possible lawsuits against the city. FYI. . . Cops don’t have the right to search you on the streets for evidence to justify arresting you. You have the right to refuse being search. Just say “I DO NOT CONSENT TO A SEARCH” If you are harassed by the police, write down the officers BADGE #, CAR#, NAME, DESCRIPTION. You have the right to video tape / photograph any police officer that approaches you for any reason or questions you. Small pocket size digital cameras are cheap now. Get one and don’t leave home without it. Cops have no right to pull you over while you’re walking on the street unless they “SPECIFICALLY SUSPECT YOU” of a crime or that you were about to commit a crime. You have the right to simply walk away from any cop. If they still want to talk ask them “AM I FREE TO GO OR AM I BEING DETAINED.” But get it on camera, they can’t just detained any random person for any random reason. The law does not force you to carry your Photo ID except when

cops see blacks as bloods or crips, latinos as trinitarios, latin kings, and netas, and whites as a bear in a place where mostly deer and elk live. the bear isnt always going to eat the deer when he goes to where the deer live. just a saying

So it takes 6 officers to give a loitering ticket (i think thats what theyre charging him with)?? Good use of tax dollars

And @ hiphopSxyDiva in case you have not noticed this is in the South Bronx and the area is predominantly Black & Hispanic so odds are that the person or persons that will be getting stopped will be Black or Hispanic that is called common sense. You can all be up in arms about what you see here but at the end of the day if you find yourself getting robbed or beaten by some maniac on the street you are going to be thanking these same officers for saving your ass…

the street is their office and it is where where they work.Video taping a police officer doing his job is not illegal so long as you are not interfering with the officer doing their job which is clearly what was going on here when the officer is attempting to speak to the young man and the camera man is interrupting. Stand back, Video & let them do their job. No need to get involved, anything that the camera man needed to say could have been said when the officers where finished.

First and foremost I lived in this area for many years (167th street & Gerard avenue) and I can personally assure you that they do stop white people when they see them because I got stopped at least 2x a week. Secondly lets keep in mind that that they are police officers and it is their JOB to patrol the streets that you your mothers, fathers, kids, family & friends walk down every day . Just like you go to work in your offices, stores or wherever it is you work provided you do work.

Seriously, there needs to be a gang of cops on a harmless, unarmed citizen who just spit on the sidewalk?

when you put on a badge, you’ve lost all rights to human life. pigs die to make bacon.

  12. iLLaNoiZ174 says:

If the camera was not there he’d be sleeping in a cell at the least

  13. iLLaNoiZ174 says:

eight nazi soldiers randomly checking papers. This ignorant black bitch tells someone to carry I.D. They don’t even have a valid reason to request it

  14. CMeeNoMorz says:

Stupid cops don’t even know their own laws.

  15. Maart33 says:

See them take that other civilian to the side and have a nice chat with him? Then stand in front of camera while saying they got no problem with the videotaping… “Friendly” form of “divide and Conquer”… You know they know they’re wrong, when for something so small & ridiculous, they need 8 cops…

  16. Maart33 says:

The silliest way to get more taxes (=ticket) rolling in… ‘Cause that is just what it is, per intimidation.

  17. Maart33 says:

The silliest thing is… Now there are 8 COPS BLOCKING PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC… How is that an improvement in respect to someone just standing there, enjoying a street-view?

  18. Lrn2PlayMyWay says:

I did this when I was in the Philippines and still got arrested :(

  19. gbclub65roses says:

come & try to tell me to step back fucking police come and fucking tell me that i will not do as you fucker say .. have a problem with that ?

  20. blindkid2 says:
