Previously about the Middle Season 3 Episode 12 “Year in the Hecks”, After realizing that nobody keeps their New Year’s promises, Frankie decides that they shall be assigned anonymously to each relative, and an all-you-can-eat buffet feast would be the reward for those who is able to abide by their chosen resolution for just a week. But chaos soon arises when Frankie must spend more time with Brick, Mike needs to look more, Axl has to hold his bedroom clean, Sue needs to stop trying out for things she is going to never make, and Brick must stop reading constantly.

However, this is not the way it is with their seven-year-old, Brick, who is different through other kids his era. Brick’s best friend is usually his backpack.
